How long we keep information

  • Email addresses captured for the purposes of subscribing to Ian Hunter’s blog, will be kept until the person who has subscribed either unsubscribes or is unsubscribed
  • Where WordPress users interact with Ian Hunter’s blog, their WordPress ID will be displayed in accordance with Automattic’s privacy notice (which can be found by clicking here)
  • Where a person contacts via Social Media, data will be held as per the T&Cs and privacy policy of the social media provider. Ian Hunter will keep the content of direct messages that contain personal information for 12 months or until no longer needed
  • Names and contact details and addresses captured for the purposes of posting books and/or items such as bookmarks, stickers, and posters, will be kept for 12 months or until no longer needed
  • Emails will be kept for 12 months or until no longer needed
  • Details in relation to invoices and payments (for events, school visits etc.) will be kept for no longer than seven years

Sharing information outside the UK

Where necessary, we may transfer personal information outside of the UK. When doing so, we comply with the UK GDPR, making sure appropriate safeguards are in place. Please contact us for more information.
