I hope you are well and enjoying happy life adventures.
I like to do a monthly blog, but this month I’ve had a couple of trips away (London for The Lord of the Rings concerts at The Royal Albert Hall, and Scotland for a brilliant road trip – pics to come on my socials soon), so it’ll be a little briefer this time.
Fyn Carter and the Might of the Masters (Fyn Carter 3)
After writing fewer words than anticipated so far this year (as per last blog), I’m about to take part in a writing challenge! This will be with a bunch of writer friends. We will set our goals and monitor them throughout June. I’m very motivated to crack on, and I’m planning to write a lot!
At present, I’m a third of the way through the first draft of Fyn 3. By the end of June I plan to have done at least another third. Watch this space, and I’ll report back with stats next month!
The Shoe Creeper
Since The Shoe Creeper was released, one of my favourite things has been to receive photos from people who’ve seen random shoes on their travels. This latest pic came from author, Stephanie Cotela, who discovered this in Walton-on-Thames! Eek!
I also saw three random shoes on the sides of roads in the Scottish Highlands last week, but I didn’t get my camera out in time! Are sightings on the increase? Have you seen single shoes on your travels? If so, let me know on social media, using hashtag #theshoecreeper and tagging me.
There is a bit more happening behind the scenes in relation to The Shoe Creeper. I’m currently having some very exciting conversations about things which might happen in October (as the book is set in the lead up to Halloween).
